July 21-August 10, 2011
These lectures are enriched by high-level lecturers and sessions of a debate practicum. Through these lectures scholars are given opportunities to learn about leadership and are encouraged to discuss and debate ideas and perspectives. Scholars are taught to think and communicate critically and analytically in order to make better and more informed decisions. Scholars returning from this three week programme to their schools and communities are better prepared to serve and lead when the opportunity arises. A private tour of the Houses of Parliament will be arranged by Dr. Peter Dyer, course lecturer.
Leadership Lecture Topics:
• Evolution of Leaders
• Psychology of Leadership
• Psychopathy of Leadership
• Leadership in the Intelligence World
• Political Leadership
• Business Ethics in Leadership
• Leadership Through Communication: Public Speaking and Writing
“Olivia has been home safe and sound for a few hours now, but the stories and excitement in her voice has not faded. It was everything I had hoped for her and more, and I just wanted to thank you for your efforts and commitment to this LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME. I hope that all of the kids walked away with the same enthusiasm, but I wanted you to know that this one did for sure! “Mom, everyone there was so intelligent and it was so amazing to hear everyone’s thoughts and opinions! I walked the same streets as Newton!” And on and on. Again, thank you. This trip was the eye-opening, life-changing moment I wanted for her. And unlike her mother, she didn’t have to wait until she was 40 to experience it!” KATHY LEIBY - Park Ridge, Illinois
