Scholar Conduct Expectations
Scholars are expected to conduct themselves in a manner compatible with the University’s function as an institution of learning and historical distinction. Each scholar, on enrollment, should be capable of assuming the responsibility of his/her own well-being together with respect for others and for University and college property. In keeping with Programme policy and legal restrictions, the possession or use of drugs or alcohol by scholars is prohibited. The Programme believes that the harmful effects of smoking and tobacco use have been convincingly demonstrated and consequently does not allow scholars to use tobacco in any form. Failure to observe these regulations will result in serious disciplinary action. Scholars will be sent home immediately if drinking any amount of alcohol.
Additionally, for reasons of safety and security, scholars are not to associate with anyone not on the Programme. A handbook of rules and regulations will be sent to each scholar and his or her parents. Damages to college property due to any pranks will be billed to parents by the college. The college may advise dismissal from the college which would result in dismissal from the Programme, too.
