Programme Dates: July 22-August 11, 2010
Scholars in the Academic Programme take a total of three classes including, a morning course (Class I) and a an afternoon course (Class III) of their choosing. The third course, Class II: British Cultural History, is required of all scholars and gives them the opportunity to learn more about the country in which they will spend the summer. This course will also provide ten lectures pertaining to our group visit to Stonehenge and the Roman City of Bath given by archaeology lecturer. In addition, students are treated to four daytrip excursions to museums and sites in London, two plays in the West End, and a visit to Ely Cathedral, Warwick Castle, and the Roman City of Bath.
Please note that no trains or other forms of public transportation such as buses or subways are used on these excursions. The program has a fleet of luxury air-conditioned private coaches used in both England and France, and the Director and staff are on all excursions.
“Desiree was accepted early decision by Princeton, so she is a very happy girl. She gives your program credit for being a significantly maturing experience, and contributing to her being accepted”—SUSAN SCHWARTZ Lagrangeville, NY
